Tottenham Hotspur defender Japhet Tanganga is today highlighted as a possibility for Serie A clubs in the summer market.
The story comes from newspaper Corriere Dello Sport, and is about the English players who could be taking a flight to Italy in this transfer window.
Tanganga had been linked to Serie A sides in the past, and with him ‘totally on the sidelines’ at Tottenham, he’s now seen as a target by a couple of clubs who are ‘at the window’.
Even though AS Roma’s interest in the defender apparently stayed ‘in the past’, there’s a recent chase from AC Milan and Atalanta.
Specifically speaking of the Bergamo side, it’s claimed they continue to try to improve their defence following the arrival of Sead Kolasinac, and could now attempt to ‘understand’ Tanganga’s situation at Tottenham.
The English player only had seven appearances for Spurs last season, and it’s unlikely he’ll get a lot more playing time under Ange Postecoglou.
His contract with Tottenham only expires in 2025, and with those clubs now lining up for him, that could be a good chance to sell.
On Transfermarkt, he’s valued at €7m.
