There’s only one fixture left for the end of the Brazilian football season, and it’s now time for clubs to start building their squads for 2020.
There’s a Chelsea loanee who has his situation quite undefined for now. That’s Nathan, who’s spent the past year playing for Atlético-MG.
Website Super Esportes reports the Belo Horizonte club are working to keep the player for next season by signing him on a permanent transfer.
Nathan’s deal with Chelsea expires next summer, so by January, he should be able to sign a pre-agreement with any club he wants. That’s a risk the Blues have of losing him for free in case they don’t negotiate now.
But Atlético may find some competition for his signing, because according to Diário Carioca today, Vasco da Gama are also interested in the midfielder.
There aren’t many details about the chase, since Nathan’s name is only mentioned among a list of signings who Vasco want to make for the next season.
So perhaps this new interest in the player could help Chelsea to find a better deal and make a few million from the sale.
