Stefan Bajcetic’s emergence at Liverpool this season hasn’t gone unnoticed and he’s drawn attention from several clubs, including Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The 18-year-old has featured 15 times in all competitions this season, since making his first team debut last August.

Jürgen Klopp started the midfielder in Liverpool’s 5-2 defeat against Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie at Anfield on Tuesday.

Fichajes.net explain the Spain U18 international has become one of the sensations of the season in the Premier League, while operating as a defensive midfielder and in the middle of the pitch.

Real Madrid and Barcelona ‘closely follow’ the teenager’s evolution at Liverpool. They are keeping tabs on him to see if he can become an option for the future.

Los Blancos see him as an ‘interesting option’ to be part of their golden generation, while Barca see the player as an ‘ideal piece’ to form a partnership with Gavi and Pedri.

Last month, Bajcetic signed a new deal until 2027. Liverpool aren’t interested in listening to offers for him and his ‘price will increase significantly in the coming months’.

These factors will make it complicated for Real Madrid, Barca or any other club trying to sign the youngster.
