Brighton & Hove Albion star Moisés Caicedo has admitted he’s not thinking about his future and is focused on finishing the season with the Premier League side.
The Seagulls secured a place in the Europa League after a 1-1 draw against Manchester City earlier this week. They have one game left this season, against Aston Villa at Villa Park on Sunday.
Radio Caravana had a chat with the 21-year-old and asked his thoughts on Brighton’s upcoming clash. His comments are relayed by ESPN.
“It will be a very tough game and we are going to go there with everything to try to bring the three points, because we need them just the same,” he said.
Prior to the clash against Manchester City, Roberto De Zerbi admitted there’s a possibility for both the Ecuador international and Alexis Mac Allister to leave Brighton in the summer. Caicedo, for his part, has refused to discuss his future plans.
When asked if he would continue at The Amex, Caicedo explained: “The truth is I’m just thinking about finishing the season very well here and then we’ll see.”
“I am very happy here at Brighton with all the people, for the love of always. I feel very excited and I enjoy every day being here.”
Arsenal were keen on signing Caicedo in January and even made multiple bids, which was turned down by Brighton. The Gunners are reportedly still interested to sign him, along with a few other clubs, in the summer.
