West Ham United striker Gianluca Scamacca has been offered to Inter Milan, potentially setting up transfer drama as he nears a move to AS Roma.
That’s according to FC Inter News, who say the Italian has been proposed by his agents after Inter pulled out of any negotiations for Romelu Lukaku.
According to FCIN’s information, every technical and financial evaluation is being made as the Italian club seek out a new striker and alternative for Lukaku, who infuriated the Champions League finalists by speaking to Juventus.
They’re being offered players by agents around Europe and the latest to be ‘proposed’ is West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca.
He’s determined to return to Italy after a miserable year at the London Stadium and is believed to be nearing a move to Roma, at least according to reports today.
The Italian has been made available on loan by West Ham, who paid €40m for him last year, and that would certainly be ‘favourable’ for Inter, who’ve been on a cost cutting exercise for the last few years.
New signing Davide Frattesi, who is a ‘very good friend’ of Scamacca’s, would also ‘sponsor his arrival’ at the club.
However, Inter’s response to the idea ‘has not been particularly enthusiastic’ at this point as Scamacca is not their first choice to bolster their forward line.
He could move up the list of options if Plan A is not implemented, and the fact he’s been offered by his agents means he is at least someone Inter are aware of.
