On Friday, journalist Gianluca di Marzio stated Tottenham Hotspur have joined Aston Villa in the race for AC Milan’s Fikayo Tomori.
Spurs have taken concrete steps to sign the defender in the winter market, according to multiple claims from Italy.
Saturday’s edition of Corriere della Sera says Milan are evaluating Tottenham’s €30m bid for the centre-back.
They add the former Chelsea man is currently hesitating over leaving the San Siro.
Sky Italia explain Spurs have reached a verbal agreement with Milan for €25m plus €5m. They add the final decision is down to the player, who may not feature against Inter Milan on Sunday.
If he were to leave, Genoa’s Saba Goglichidze could replace the Englishman.
Another Italian newspaper, Gazzetta dello Sport, states Tottenham have agreement with the Serie A club to sign Tomori for €25m.
The proposal is ‘tempting’ for the Rossoneri, but the player isn’t convinced as of now. The newspaper insists Milan weren’t looking for a buyer but have received requests for Tomori.
Journalist Daniele Longo took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state Tottenham’s offer of €25m plus €5m bonuses [€2m easy to achieve] has been ‘accepted’. He adds Tomori has ‘asked for a few hours’ to make a decision.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, ‘all that’s missing now is Tomori’s yest to Tottenham’.
TMW add Milan have to convince him to accept a move to London club before the window closes on Monday.
While Sky state Tomori may not feature against Inter, TMW claim otherwise since Sérgio Conceição is short of options in the defence. If Milan were to sell Tomori to Tottenham, they will have a short period to find a replacement.
