On Thursday, Goal Italia reported Tottenham Hotspur were set to meet Juventus to speak about Dejan Kulusevski.
Gianluca Di Marzio now states Spurs have had ‘very positive contacts’ with the Serie A side over a deal for the 23-year-old.
The forward spent the last 18 months on loan at Tottenham, who decided not to exercise the €35m purchase option.
He’s still keen to continue at the north London club and is not included in the Turin club’s plans.
Spurs are trying to get a discount and it’s said ‘there is confidence’ of reaching an agreement with the Old Lady to buy the Sweden international for a fee less than €35m. The talks are still ongoing between the two clubs and an agreement could be reached for around €30m.
Over at Tutto Juve, they have a report, titled: ‘Tottenham are preparing the official offer for Kulusevski’.
Within the report, it’s claimed Ange Postecoglou’s side will present an official proposal of £26m [around €30m] for the former Parma man.
During the discussions with Juventus, Tottenham will reiterate their desire to retain him, with him considered an ‘important prospect with a sure future’.
Tutto Juve say the two clubs will talk about the Swede early next week, but the feeling is that an agreement could be reached for around €30m.
