As has been widely reported around Europe, Tottenham are interested in signing a right-back in January if they can.
Many names have been thrown around, such as Pedro Porro’s, but there is also Wilfried Singo, currently contracted to Torino.
The Ivory Coast international would certainly be a cheaper alternative for Tottenham, and is a player Antonio Conte has been fond of for quite some time.
La Stampa on Friday have an update on the situation, relayed by Toro News, and the player could leave in January.
The newspaper write that ‘he could leave immediately if the right offer arrives’, but that would require any interested club to offer ‘at least €20m’, which is higher than previous reports of €10-12m.
They then point out that Napoli like him, but he also has ‘admirers in Spain and England’, among which can be found ‘Conte’s Tottenham’.
Regardless of what happens in January, this summer will see Torino change things on their defensive flanks, as Singo will be entering the final year of his contract while Ola Aina is also expected to leave.
It’s now up to Tottenham to decide whether they want Singo or someone else, and if it’s the former, they will have to fork out a minimum of €20m.
