Both Harry Kane and Bayern Munich are willing to wait until next year to make a transfer happen, if Tottenham remain resistant to a deal this summer.
That’s according to SportBILD and Sport 1, who both cover the potential transfer today and the desires of both parties.
SportBILD report that the ‘poker’ with Tottenham for Kane is continuing to stretch out but there has long been an internal decision at the German champions.
They want to bring Kane to Munich regardless of whether Spurs let him go this summer and if a deal doesn’t take place this summer, they will get him next year when his contract expires.
Sport 1, meanwhile, say Kane has made his decision and only wants to join the German champions as his next club and staying at Tottenham beyond 2024 with a contract renewal is ‘no longer an option’.
This is something he has already told to other potential suitors, and it’s felt he could also tell Tottenham once he returns to training on July 13th.
Thomas Tuchel has convinced the striker into the move and now they are working on an agreement with Tottenham to make the move happen this summer. There is great confidence in Bavaria that Spurs will eventually give in and let a transfer happen.
They make no mention of Bayern being prepared to wait until next year, nor do they say the same of Kane, but it seems the growing feeling in Germany either way is that Kane wants Bayern and nothing else.
That gives the German champions and advantage over Tottenham and is presumably why they are increasingly confident of getting him out of Tottenham either way.
