As well as looking to bolster their squad in January, Tottenham are planning for the future as they look around Europe for talent.
Antonio Conte has made it clear he would like to see a few more additions to his Spurs squad in January so he can compete with the best teams in the league, and while that will likely happen if the right deal is there, Daniel Levy, Fabio Paratici and co. are looking beyond that.
This comes courtesy of Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, who, relayed by Tutto Napoli, claim that Tottenham are interested in Arda Güler.
The 17-year-old midfielder currently plays for Fenerbahçe in the Süper Lig, and has made a few appearances here and there, scoring two goals in five league games to date this season, spread over 32 minutes.
To say he has made an impact is an understatement, which has caught the eye of a few clubs around Europe, including Napoli, Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain.
That’s what the Italian radio station report, explaining the young midfielder ‘tickles the palate of the biggest clubs in the world’.
Not only that, but it’s ‘above all Tottenham and Paris Saint-Germain’, although Napoli ‘like Arda Güler a lot’, so they shouldn’t be discounted either.
Overall, the youngster has made 29 first-team appearances for Fenerbahçe, scoring six goals and assisting another six.
