Fotomac report Fenerbahce youngster Eljif Elmas was watched by Tottenham Hotspur scouts during yesterday’s game against Galatasaray.
The 19-year old has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs in the past week, with claims he’s close to securing a transfer to the Premier League club.
The Turkish newspaper claim scouts from Fiorentina, Lazio and Tottenham were all present at Fenerbahce’s Ulker Stadium at the weekend, with the intention of watching the youngster.
Elmas yesterday put in an impressive performance for the Yellow Canaries and scored his 2nd league goal of the season. His goal prevented Galatasaray winning at Fenerbahce for the first time in 20 years.
Last week we covered claims from Turkey that Tottenham have offered €20m to secure the signature of the Macedonian midfielder. It would be an early attempt to get a deal before the competition moves in.
The youngster has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks following reports Leicester City and Cardiff City have also been showing an interest.
Elmas is under contract with Fenerbahce until June 2022.
