As has been a trend for the vast part of January and seemingly every transfer window since he arrived at Tottenham, Bryan Gil is a target for clubs.
The Spaniard has been linked with a few in Spain as well as Fiorentina in Italy, with Lazio now also among those to have rekindled their interest in the winger.
The latest comes from Corriere dello Sport, who recall that Gil was first targeted by Maurizio Sarri’s side in the summer, and he could now be ‘leaving again’.
The 22-year-old is ‘out of the plans’ at Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou, and the belief is Spurs are now ‘willing to let him go out on loan’, and they could also allow an option to buy with the deal.
They see Gil as a ‘talent waiting for the right opportunity’, with the London side initially paying €25m to acquire him; an investment that hasn’t really paid off.
Sarri is said to ‘appreciate his technical skills’ and the manager was ‘convinced’ that the Tottenham player could be someone he gets the best out of going forward.
That idea remains to this day, and the hope is a deal can be struck, as Lazio continue their search to reinforce their attack.
