Tottenham defender Danny Rose is waiting for Trabzonspor manager Abdullah Avci to agree to his transfer before joining the Turkish club.
Rose has been linked with a move to Turkey over the last few weeks, having found himself far out of favour at Tottenham this season.
His contract with Spurs expires in the summer, and it has been reported in Turkey that Trabzonspor are looking to take advantage of that and sign the former England international on the cheap.
It was believed they were exploring several options for Rose, with it stated they could pay Tottenham a small fee to sign him this month rather than on a free in the summer.
There’s been little update on the potential move over the last few days, but Cumhuriyet provide that today.
They say that Avci’s decision on the move for Rose is ‘expected’, with the Trabzonspor manager targeting players who can push his team forward.
It’s stated that Rose ‘will be signed’ and that the Super Lig won’t pay anything to sign the Tottenham defender, who has secured himself a three and a half year deal at the club.
The final decision on his official signature is expected soon, with it seemingly all in Avci’s hands at this point.
