According to Calciomercato.it, Tottenham are ‘ready to welcome’ the 26-year-old to north London. The report focuses on Spurs’ interest when explaining Juventus’ efforts to sign him.
The Ivory Coast international hasn’t agreed to join the Old Lady because he favours a move to the Premier League where he’s wanted by Ange Postecoglou’s side.
His exit is currently at a standstill.
Calciomercato.it state negotiations for the former AC Milan man would ‘come to life’ from Wednesday, when Barca return from the US. Juve have already moved concretely for him while Tottenham could take further steps soon.
Barcelona will face Tottenham for the Joan Gamper Trophy on August 8th and the report states the latter will ‘deepen the talks’ for Kessié when they travel to Spain next week.
Spurs have an excellent relationship with Barca and whether that’s enough to beat Juve to sign the midfielder remains to be seen.
