Tottenham Hotspur are still considered one of the favourites to land Sporting midfielder João Palhinha.
Antonio Conte’s side we many times said to be ‘in the front row’ for the signing, and their pursuit is today restated by newspaper Jornal de Notícias.
The outlet writes that Tottenham are currently ‘preparing an initial offer’ for the Portuguese international.
It turns out Jornal de Notícias’ story is mostly focused on Wolverhampton Wanderers’ interest in the player, with them making him a priority for the summer.
Still, it’s only Spurs who are said to be about to bid.
According to Jornal de Notícias, the Lions are looking to make at least €30m with the sale, plus a potential €10m in bonuses. They’d still have a margin of negotiation, since Palhinha’s release clause is €60m.
Besides Tottenham and Wolves, Manchester United are said to be interested in the player as well.
