Tottenham’s deal for Barcelona defender Emerson Royal is €25m plus €5m in variables, with 20% set to go to his former club Real Betis.

That’s according to COPE journalist Helena Condis, who says the two clubs have a ‘pre-agreement’ in place for the Brazilian.

Reports today have indicated that Tottenham are negotiating a deal for Emerson, who is reportedly a specific request from manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

Various details about the move have been slowly emerging throughout the day in regards to the transfer fee and everything else involved.

The deal originally started at €23m and then rose to €30m, and Partidazo explain it is actually €25m plus €5m in variables.

They also say that Barcelona will be paying Betis 20% of the total sale, with the figure having been 10% earlier today.

Condis’ information is that there is a pre-agreement in place between the two clubs, although there is no mention of what that means exactly.

Either way, the move appears to advancing at a rapid pace, with a deal seemingly set to be finalised before tomorrow’s deadline after Tottenham made their move today.
