Estadio Deportivo report that Sevilla are likely to be busy during August, with the month seen as the best time to get bargains in the transfer market.

The Spanish club are specialists at signing players on loan or at reduced fees, and they clearly feel that there’s no need to rush in the market if bargains can be found later on.

This is where Sergio Reguillon comes into the picture, with the Tottenham player highly valued at Sevilla. The 25-year-old played there on loan from Real Madrid during the 2019/20 season and it was his form during that spell which secured him a move to Spurs.

Antonio Conte isn’t a fan of the fullback and the manager’s decision has been key in opening the door for an exit this summer. This is the main factor that will work in Sevilla’s favour as they try to sign Reguillon, who is described as their ‘priority’ target.

However, the club will almost certainly be looking for a loan deal, and Tottenham may prefer to wait as long as possible to see if any offers for a permanent transfer arrive.
