Earlier on Monday, we covered claims from the Spanish press which stated Girona have a deal in place with Tottenham Hotspur to sign Bryan Gil on loan with an option to buy.
It was also reported the winger has been keen on joining the La Liga side and that helped them to find an agreement with Spurs.
Cadena Ser journalist Nil Solà took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide the latest on the 23-year-old’s impending Tottenham exit.
Solà claims Gil has already arrived in Spain, and has met both Girona manager Míchel and his new teammates.
The journalist adds the Tottenham player has to undergo medical tests and then sign his contract for the loan transfer to be made official. Earlier claims had stated that Girona will have an option to make his stay permanent, but Solà now states it’ll be a dry loan deal.
Gil struggled for a prominent role at Tottenham since arriving in north London in 2021. The Spain international was sent out on loan to Sevilla and Valencia, and will soon join Girona on another temporary deal.
