After Monday’s claim that Tottenham are interested in both Luciano Spalletti and Cristiano Giuntoli came the news that the Serie A winning manager now has a big offer from Spurs.
That was said to be a bit of a worry for Napoli, who obviously don’t want to lose the man who led them to their first league title in 33 years, and now there’s more to add to that.
The latest comes from Kiss Kiss Napoli, a local outlet that tends to be well informed when it comes to the Italian club, relayed by Area Napoli.
They claim that three Premier League clubs are keen on the manager from the Naples side, and Tottenham ‘are in pole position’ to get him.
While some could wonder why the manager would leave his current role to go to Spurs, it’s worth pointing out that Spalletti has never worked in England before, and it could be an interesting option for him.
Still, ‘the next 20 days’ will be important, because that’s when Aurelio De Laurentiis will meet both his manager and Giuntoli to figure out their future.
Something to keep in mind as Daniel Levy is still working to try and get the manager to replace Antonio Conte at Tottenham, having failed to find the right man just yet.
