On Thursday, Italian journalist Gianni Balzarini reported on the situation of Federico Chiesa, stating that Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a significant offer for the winger.
The Italian media have been heavily pushing the idea of Tottenham signing the Juventus star since yesterday.
Now it is TuttoSport, as relayed by IlBianconero, who have gone with a report which mentions interest from Tottenham and that Chiesa is set to depart Juve.
They state that Spurs will soon make an ‘official’ move for the winger, who played for Italy at Euro 2024 recently. It is mentioned that the option of moving to Roma has faded because of Matias Soule’s move and the idea of Napoli has never taken off.
It is crucial to remember that Chiesa’s current Juve deal runs out in the summer of 2025 and there is no renewal in sight. Juve would obviously not want to lose the player on a free transfer and it is natural that Turin-based TuttoSport would push the idea of an exit to a wealthy English club.
Alfredo Pedulla has already mentioned that there is no confirmation about the interest from Tottenham, so it is unknown whether this situation will evolve or not.
Reports on Thursday claimed Sours could pay €30-35m and that felt somewhat inflated.
