As reported over the past few days, Tottenham’s Sergio Reguilon, currently on loan in the north of England, is a target for a couple of clubs in January.
We saw reports on Friday that Borussia Dortmund, in need of a left-back, were considering the Spurs man, while AS Roma were touted on Monday.
Well, the latest from Germany suggests it’s the former of the two who are the most insistent for the Tottenham player, who is labelled by journalist Patrick Berger as the Bundesliga side’s ‘top target’ this winter.
It’s recalled that Borussia Dortmund have ‘made an enquiry’ about a six month loan for the Spaniard, who has a January break clause in his current deal with Manchester United.
This makes life a bit easier for any party wishing to bring the Tottenham left-back in in the coming weeks, but they will also have to persuade him the move is the right one for him.
Either way, the prospect of leaving his current club isn’t exactly something he’ll be dreading, seeing as he was always an emergency option for Erik ten Hag, which has shown by his 10 appearances in all competitions, with only six of those being starts.
