On March 12th, Fennec Football reported Tottenham Hotspur had sent a scout to watch Mohamed Amoura live in action for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
Two days later, Voetbal Belgie backed that up, and said the north London club are keen on the striker.
Tottenham seem to have taken further steps to sign the 23-year-old if DZ Foot in Algeria is to be believed.
The Algeria international has managed 21 goals and five assists from 37 matches this season, but hasn’t found the back of the net regularly since the start of February, yet that hasn’t put off Spurs.
Amoura joined the Belgian club from Swiss side FC Lugano last summer and a transfer is ‘more relevant than ever’ in the next window.
It’s said the Jupiler Pro League side have received the ‘first concrete offer’ for the player from England, and in particular from Tottenham.
The report doesn’t provide the details of the offer tabled by Ange Postecoglou’s side, but does state Royale Union Saint-Gilloise are asking €20m for the frontman.
With this coming from Algerian sources it could be an effort to hype the player and drum up transfer interest.
