Tottenham have made it clear to Dávinson Sánchez that he will not be leaving this summer, despite reports to the contrary.

That’s according to Antenna 2, who say the Colombian has been given a ‘vote of confidence’ of by manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

The website explains that Sánchez had been on the transfer list for this summer, but no deal materialised despite plenty of interest in him.

Thus, Sánchez will remain at Tottenham this season, with the club having made that clear to the player, stating that he ‘will be taken into account’ by Espirito Santo.

Indeed, the Portuguese coach has also apparently shared his confidence in the defender, making it clear he believes the player can ‘regain his best level’.

That, at least from a Colombian perspective, puts an end to any doubts about Sánchez’s future at Tottenham, with them having now seemingly changed their mind about him.

That’s good news for Sánchez, say Antenna, adding that he will ‘surely’ be a part of Colombia’s plans for the World Cup qualifiers against Bolivia, Paraguay and Chile in September as a result.
