Trabzonspor vice president Mehmet Yiğit Alp has spoken to 61 Saat and shared the latest developments regarding the future of Alexander Sørloth.
The Norway international has been heavily linked with a move to German side RB Leipzig but yesterday reports from Asist Analiz said he could join either Tottenham Hotspur or Manchester United.
In recent weeks the Crystal Palace owned player has been linked with a move to Tottenham as Jose Mourinho looks to bring in a forward before the window closes. There were claims Spurs had offered €25m.
However, Mehmet Yiğit Alp has poured cold water on speculation linking him with a return to England and confirmed Sørloth’s transfer could be completed soon: “There’s no problem in this transfer at the moment. I think the move will be completed today or tomorrow.”
61 Saat add they expect Sørloth move to RB Leipzig to be announced today and German newspaper Bild have also confirmed the forward is now in Germany.
Bild say he’s yet to sign an agreement with the Bundesliga side, but it seems a deal is getting closer.
Last season he was loaned to Trabzonspor where he finished the campaign as the Super Lig top scorer with 33 goals.
