It’s now time for the Belgian media to highlight Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Anderlecht winger Paul Mukairu.
Outlet Voetbal24 is the one saying Spurs have joined the race for the 21-year-old, who despite being at the club for a short time, is already attracting a little competition for his signing.
It’s said the likes of AS Roma and Bayer Leverkusen were already in for Mukairu, and Anderlecht know there’s a good chance of negotiating a profitable sale next summer.
Now Tottenham show up willing to pay ‘over €5m’ for his signing. Voetbal24 writes that ‘The London top club strongly believes in Mukairu’s potential and would like to attract the winger’, making José Mourinho’s side look like the frontrunners in the race.
Mukairu joined Anderlecht on a loan move from Antalyaspor at the start of the season, and has four goals and four assists in 20 appearances so far.
The Belgian side have an option to buy him for €2.5m, which is seen as something certain by the local media, and that’s why they’re the club who Tottenham would negotiate with.
