There’s a lot of positivity around Everton ever since they defeated Liverpool last Saturday.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men registered a 2-0 victory over the Reds and it was their first win at Anfield in 22 years.

Everton’s future plans also received boost on Tuesday after the Liverpool city council approved the Toffees’ plans for a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock.

It’s not just the club who are planning for the future as some of their players are also thinking long-term.

Among them is James Rodríguez, who admitted on Tuesday that it’s his childhood dream to play for Colombian side Deportes Tolima.

This won’t happen anytime soon considering the 29-year-old still has several years ahead of him to perform at the highest level.

The Colombia international is not just thinking of where he will end his future, but he’s also started planning for ‘life after football’.

“I am studying, although I will not tell you what. I will leave you with curiosity. In the coming weeks, or a few months, they will find out,” James Rodríguez revealed on Twitch, as quoted by Futbol Red.
