Tottenham are insisting upon a move for Fikayo Tomori as they plan a busy end to the transfer window.
That’s according to journalist Gianluca di Marzio, who reports that Tottenham have joined Aston Villa in showing an interest in the defender.
He states that Tottenham ‘insists on’ Tomori and have been ‘insisting’ on a move for him in the last few hours.
They’ve joined Aston Villa in expressing an interest in the former Chelsea defender, with the Villans having wanted a loan deal. They’re trying to find a defender to replace Dirgo Carlos after he moved to Turkey.
D Marzio makes no mention of the deal that Tottenham would want. They may be targeting Tomori after Radu Dragusin joined their injury list in the win over Elfsborg.
Central defence has been a problem area for Ange Postecoglou’s side this season and it seems they are now targeting an addition late in the window to try and rectify the problem.
Whether Milan would be open to letting Tomori leave at this stage remains to be seen. He’s also been linked with Juventus this month.
Aston Villa and now Tottenham are in the mix either way and it seems he’ll be a name to keep an eye on at the end of this window as a result.
