It’s now Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio who brings the latest on Tottenham Hotspur’s attempt to sign Radu Dragusin from Genoa.

On his website, he claims that Milan have just started talks with the player’s entourage in the ‘last few hours’, trying to compete for his signing.

Bayern Munich are also said to be interested, having moved only  through intermediaries. However, Tottenham continue to be ‘ahead of them all’ in the race, as they’re ‘increasingly close’ to signing Dragusin.

With recent reports claiming Spurs are so close to landing the player, other clubs being dragged in could even sound like extra pressure being put on the London side to get a deal done soon.

In the past 24 hours, it’s been said that Tottenhamwant the signing as soon as possible, even though they still have to meet Genoa’s €20m request for the transfer.

With Di Marzio not making it sound like Milan or Bayern could overcome Spurs in the race, we now wait and see how much Tottenham will actually put on the table to convince Genoa of the sale.
