Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has spoken to regional newspaper 61Saat about reported Tottenham Hotspur target Abdulkadir Omur.

Speaking about the highly talented 18-year old, Agaoglu confirmed they’ve received offers for Omur: “Yes it’s true we’ve received some very good offers from European clubs regarding Abdulladir.”

“Even though the figures that they are talking are very pleasing, we are not looking to sell him because we want to challenge for the title. You can’t do that if you sell your best players.”

Trabzonspor are in huge financial trouble and despite Agaoglu’s comments the club are likely to sell Omur if a good offer arrive this summer, with bids in the region of €18m likely to be accepted.

Tottenham have been linked with Omur this month, following recent claims the London club have put in a bid for the youngster.

Turkish journalist Erdal Hos said Tottenham are interested in Omur and have approached Trabzonspor with a ‘concrete offer’.

Spurs could face competition to sign Omur this summer after reports Arsenal and Liverpool are showing interest.

Nicknamed the ‘Turkish Messi’, the left-footed winger has scored 3 goals this season and made 5 assists. Omur is under contract with Trabzonspor until 2022.
