Earlier today, it was claimed by a local newspaper that Tottenham had suggested they would be willing to give €30m + Davinson Sanchez for Cristian Romero.
Corriere della Sera’s Bergamo edition were the ones pushing it, and but with Atalanta wanting €60m for the player, there were doubts as to whether the Colombian was worth €30m and made up the difference.
Well, now there’s a different slant, with Sport Italia journalist Gianluigi Longari claiming on Twitter that the Serie A side have turned down a bid of €35m + €10m in bonuses from Fabio Paratici for the Argentine.
That suggests Atalanta want more than €45m for their star, which falls in line with the claims from Corriere della Sera that he’s nearer the €60m mark in their eyes.

Still technically a Juventus player, Romero is on a two-year loan in Bergamo, who have an option to buy him at €16m at any point.
Since they’ve already said they would do so, it’s clear Atalanta are the ones to negotiate with here, and the games have begun.
