West Ham are flying high, and it seems they’re very keen to build on the good work done by Slaven Bilic last season.
The Premier League club have been linked to a few strikers in the past couple of months, including Alexandre Lacazette, Michy Batshuayi, and Carlos Bacca.
Reports in France today suggest West Ham have made an offer of €52m for Lacazette, but the French international is not the only striker on Bilic’s wish-list.
According to L’Equipe in France, Juventus have submitted an offer of €32m plus €3m in bonuses for Michy Batshuayi, but the Premier League side have submitted a higher offer of €35m plus €5m to Marseille.
L’Equipe say Bilic has never hidden his interest in Batshuayi, but Marseille haven’t responded to any offers yet.
Marseille’s President, Vincent Labrune, has told DNGC he’d sell the Belgian star, but needs more time, as he’d like to auction the player to the highest bidder. A transfer will happen, it’s just a matter of when, and for how much.
Atletico Madrid’s sporting director, Andrea Berta, is also in touch with Batshuayi’s agent, whilst Tottenham remain interested.
It is reported Tottenham have already discussed personal terms with Batshuayi’s representatives, but haven’t made an offer yet to Marseille.
West ham might not be favourites to sign Batshuayi or Lacazette, but this is some statement of intent from the Premier League side, and their fans would be delighted.
