Earlier on Thursday, we covered a couple of articles regarding Fiorentina’s interest in Tottenham’s Bryan Gil.
The young Spaniard remains on the fringes of Ange Postecoglou’s squad at Spurs, and there has been talk of him heading out somewhere in January, with a number of clubs reportedly interested.
Fiorentina are one of them, and Corriere Fiorentino are reporting the Serie A side are doing what they can to convince Tottenham to part ways with their player this month.
The newspaper state Joe Barone and Daniele Pradè, the club’s CEO and director of football respectively, are both ‘working insistently’ on a deal for the 22-year-old.
The problem, as was reported earlier, is that Tottenham aren’t overly keen on yet another loan for the former Sevilla youngster.
This is why they are ‘considering whether to accept the loan formula’ offered by Fiorentina, and seemingly will need to give an answer in the near future.
If they refuse, the Italians will have to move on, as they are unlikely to have the funds required to sign the Tottenham player permanently, not unless they make a big sale in the next few weeks.
