Tottenham Hotspur have ‘asked’ Julian Nagelsmann to become their new manager, according to Sky Deutschland.
Spurs showed the exit door to Antonio Conte in March and dispensed with interim manager Cristian Stellini a week ago.
The German has been without a job since leaving Bayern Munich more than a month ago. Tottenham are keen, which is why they ‘asked Julian Nagelsmann for a commitment’ to become Conte’s successor from next season.
Although the Premier League side are dealing with Nagelsmann, there hasn’t been any concrete negotiations yet between the two parties. There are a few unanswered questions that Spurs must clarify, including who will be their next sporting director.
Sky transfer expert Florian Plettenberg claims the 35-year-old “wants to know what role” he will have when it comes to Tottenham’s transfer business. These questions would be clarified by Spurs after making contact with him.
Despite the Premier League side’s need to clarify a few things, it’s claimed Tottenham are a ‘conceivable option’ for the former RB Leipzig manager.
Last week, Bild explained Nagelsmann is ‘concentrating’ mainly on the vacant job at the Premier League side.
