Tottenham and Liverpool are in the mix to sign Castello Lukeba from RB Leipzig this summer, alongside Bayern Munich.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who report that that 22-year-old finds himself on the Premier League radar once again.
They state that while Lukeba has been busy at the U21 Euros, the transfer window has steadily been developing around him.
The belief is that now may be the time to move on from Leipzig, where he has been ‘achieving great things’ since his arrival in 2023. He has impressed everyone and after being linked to major clubs last summer, the rumours are picking up once more this summer.
Several teams are interested in his profile and according to FM’s information, Liverpool, Tottenham and Bayern Munich are interested in the defender.
Lukeba is open to leaving and Leipzig will let him go. In fact, they have agreed to accept a deal for less than his current €90m release clause. That’s despite the player having a contract until 2029 and Leipzig not being under pressure to sell.
He will still likely command a big fee, and it remains to be seen what Liverpool and Tottenham are willing to offer, but the transfer window is now moving around Lukeba and they’re both involved.
