Jakub Moder last made an appearance for Brighton & Hove Albion in their goalless draw against Norwich City in April 2022. He picked up a serious knee injury in the same tie and underwent surgery.
The midfielder faced complications during his recovery, forcing him to go under the knife again, ruling him out for entirety of last season. Recent claims have indicated the 24-year-old has to be operated on for the third time.
Following these reports, Weszlo got in touch with the Brighton player’s entourage for an update and they wasted no time in dismissing the claims.
“Total nonsense, there is no such topic at all,” Moder’s entourage told the outlet.
According to Weszlo, the Poland international is ‘getting closer’ to returning to the pitch, in ‘just over a month’. He’s currently training alone and working with physios to regain full fitness.
Moder hasn’t trained under Roberto De Zerbi so far as the manager arrived at The Amex last September, months after the player suffered a setback.
Brighton have sold Alexis Mac Allister, and Moisés Caicedo could be on his way out of the club. Meanwhile, the Seagulls have added Mahmoud Dahoud and James Milner to their midfield in this window.
