With Stefan Bajcetic’s fine start at Liverpool, the Spanish media has been featuring several stories about the youngster’s recent appearances for the Reds.
Earlier today, we covered an interview which the midfielder’s father gave to El Mundo, explaining how Jurgen Klopp’s side managed to win the race for him.
Now as Cadena Ser feature a new story on him, they not only interview Celta de Vigo academy director Carlos Bayón, but also bring a few details on Bajcetic’s move to Liverpool.
The outlet claims that the reason why the midfielder joined the Reds is the work from three people at the club. Those are Kiko Espinar, Frederico Paciencia and Alex Inglethorpe.
Espinar is responsible for Liverpool’s scouting job in Spain, and was the one who convinced Bajcetic’s family about the move. Then he asked the club to make a ‘heavy bet’ on the signing, and his ‘pressure’ was crucial for the move to happen.
Paciencia is said to be the one who helped in the player’s adaptation to England. He was the one who stayed by the youngster’s side when he had Covid and also an injury right when he arrived at the club.
Then Inglethorpe was reportedly the one who changed Bajcetic’s position. The teenager had been a centre-back, and the academy director was the one who moved him to midfield, with his decision proven to be the right one now that he found that place in Klopp’s team.
