Last week, it was reported that Manchester United are intensifying their move for Atalanta’s Ederson.

More has now emerged about the Red Devils’ liking for the Brazilian and TuttoAtalanta have reported that they have scouted not just the midfielder but his teammate Matteo Retegui as well.

The outlet claim that ‘special observers’ from Manchester United ‘closely monitored’ the two Atalanta players when they were in action against AC Milan on Sunday.

The belief is that this is a confirmation of the English giants’ interest in Retegui and Ederson, with Ruben Amorim’s side already having made contact with their entourages.

The report indicates that Atalanta could be interested in a sale as they are always monitoring potential capital gains.

Manchester United’s moves, so far, are said to have been rather decisive in the situation so far, with both Ederson and Retegui having impressed in the game on Sunday.

The midfielder scored a vital goal and even if the Italian forward didn’t find the back of the net, he impressed with his link-up and movement in the final third.

Across all competitions, Retegui has scored 26 goals and that is clearly attracting major attention.

Atalanta would surely value the duo at €100m+.
