BK Häcken forward Zeidane Inoussa has told the Swedish media that Celtic are showing interest in signing him.
The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to Celtic in this transfer window as Brendan Rodgers looks to bolster his squad before next week’s deadline.
Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, Inoussa was asked about both Celtic and AS Saint-Etienne being in the race to sigh him during this transfer window.
The young forward said it shows he’s been doing the right things given such clubs are looking to sign him. Inoussa also revealed Celtic and Saint-Etienne have made enquiries about him.
“Yes, that’s right. I know that these clubs you mentioned have shown interest. Some more concrete than others. But they have shown interest and think I have done well, so they wanted to check the situation,” said the forward.
Earlier this month we covered reports that Celtic were in the running to sign the BK Häcken player and that an offer had come in from the Scottish champions. Again, Saint-Etienne were also linked with the young forward in those reports.
There’s also been claims Italian clubs are monitoring the situation with Inoussa, but a move in this window is looking unlikely.
Inoussa made 18 starts in the recently concluded Allsvenskan season, scoring six goals. He’s contracted to BK Häcken until December 2027.
