Galatasaray star Victor Osimhen could end up at Arsenal if there’s a serious approach from the Premier League winners.

That’s according to journalist Serdar Ali Çelikler. He reported this on Neo Spor’s YouTube channel, and Haber Sarı Kırmızı have relayed his comments.

Arsenal already held talks

Three days ago, Sport Witness relayed news the Gunners are confident of signing the striker this summer. The Turkish champions are hoping to collect at least €70m for him.

At that time, Mikel Arteta’s side hadn’t tabled an offer. Despite this, there’s belief the 27-year-old could end up at the north London club.

The Nigeria international’s intermediary, George Gardi, has stepped in as the two clubs have held talks. The player has also not closed the door on leaving Istanbul for Arsenal.

He said: “There are always rumours during transfer seasons. I will focus on my job. I focus on my work. We’ll see and think about the future then.”

Confidence Osimhen won’t reject Arsenal

The former Napoli star’s brace helped Galatasaray to a 2-2 draw against Çorum FK on Friday. Serdar Ali Çelikler analysed this result and talked about Galatasaray’s transfer business, including their lack of sales.

Last season, Nicolò Zaniolo was on loan at Udinese and he’s joined the Serie A side permanently. That has been their only sale this summer.

“The fact that Galatasaray can’t sell any players is a bigger issue that needs to be discussed. They put Gabriel Sara and Barış Alper Yılmaz on the market 50 times, and it didn’t work,” he said.

The journalist then talked about the possibility of Victor Osimhen moving to the Emirates. He is confident the frontman will leave Galatasaray if the Gunners were to launch a serious move to sign him this summer.

“There’s no way any Nigerian footballer would say ‘No’ to England, especially Arsenal. If Arsenal is serious, Osimhen will go,” Çelikler explained.

Last season, the Nigerian managed 22 goals and eight assists from 33 matches and has two goals from 45 minutes this season.
