Brighton & Hove Albion are joined by Wolverhampton Wanderers in the race for Juventus’ Samuel Iling-Junior, according to Calciomercato.

It’s claimed that ‘not only Brighton’ want the winger as ‘there’s also Wolves’ in the picture to sign him.

The Seagulls are ‘trying’ to secure the 19-year-old’s services but they’ll have to be wary about Julen Lopetegui’s side.

The Turin club, for their part, are aiming to retain him. That doesn’t mean the England U20 international is ‘non-transferable’.

The report states an offer in excess of €15m for the player will be ‘evaluated’ by Juve. It needs to be seen if Brighton or Wolves will make a convincing offer in the summer.

Last month, Tutto Juve stated Roberto De Zerbi’s side have initiated contact to sign Iling-Junior and are also ready to make an offer. Wolves, who have now joined the chase, have to step up their efforts, if they wish to get ahead of Brighton to acquire his signature.

Iling-Junior joined the Serie A side’s academy from Chelsea in 2020 and was promoted to their first team last season, where he managed a goal and two assists from 18 games.
