As Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison spoke to Ronaldo TV this week, he talked about the positives of being able to live like a regular person in England.
The Spurs forward claimed he’s now used to getting the subway, and continues to do so even when making a longer trip to visit his friends from Everton, as he thinks it takes too long to get to Liverpool by car.
“I feel like a normal person. These days I ran into Natalie (Gedra, ESPN correspondent) on the subway. Then she said ‘what are you doing here in this crowd?’ I went to Liverpool to visit Allan (from Everton). By train it’s faster, can’t do it by car, it’s four hours. People think that because I’m a player I can’t take a subway, a train, I think it’s super normal, I feel like a free person,” Richarlison told Ronaldo TV (via UOL).
Richarlison also talked about his driving license, pointing out that besides all the questions the Tottenham player needs to study, there’s an extra factor for him which is language.
“I like to take car lessons. I’m trying to get my license here. I’m taking driving school. I failed the first one. There are 900 questions to study, I studied 200 and I was going to have to take a vacation. Then I said ‘ah, let me take this test soon, it will work’. I did and almost passed. I got 36, you have to get 42 out of 56. The second (test) will be when I finish studying, it’s all in English.”
Completely recovered from his injury, Richarlison has now joined Brazil’s national team for their World Cup preparations. It’s very likely he’ll be their starting centre-forward during the whole competition, as he’s been doing very well in recent friendlies.
Tottenham and the Premier League are only back in action on Boxing Day. Spurs’ squad will have then a trip to Brentford as they try to keep up with the good season under Antonio Conte.
