Sporting’s Morten Hjulmand has already been linked to a few clubs including Tottenham Hotspur.
Last summer, the Premier League club followed the Denmark international at the Euro 2024.
On January 8th, A Bola reported Tottenham’s scout was in attendance to follow Sporting’s cup win over FC Porto.
A fresh report Jornal de Notícias mentions Tottenham when covering the 25-year-old’s future.
He has been a regular for the Lions since joining them from US Lecce in August 2023. The defensive midfielder’s contract expires in 2028, and it includes an €80m clause.
Sporting are aware other clubs are showing interest in the player and it will be ‘difficult to retain him’ beyond this season. The newspaper adds ‘there is room to negotiate’ for a fee below his €80m release clause.
Jornal de Notícias points out the Tottenham links, as well as the same to Manchester United.
With Sporting lowering the price, Spurs can sign Hjulmand for less than €80m in the summer window.
