Leicester City are joined by Brighton & Hove Albion in the mix to sign Atalanta’s Jeremie Boga.
A week ago, Tuttosport reported the Foxes are determined to make another attempt to land the winger in January after failing to sign him in the last transfer window.
Brendan Rodgers’ side would have to battle it out with Brighton and Fiorentina to sign the 25-year-old.
That’s according to Il Giorno, who state Atalanta are waiting for offers from the Premier League after their head of recruitment, Lee Congerton, ‘proposed’ the player to English clubs. That’s when both Leicester and the Seagulls are mentioned in the report.
It’s further explained ‘there could be offers’ from Leicester, Roberto De Zerbi’s side and Fiorentina for the Ivory Coast international in the winter market. The latter, for their part, would like to take Boga on loan with a redemption obligation under certain conditions.
Atalanta made Boga’s stay permanent in the summer after initially signing him on loan from Sassuolo at the start of this year.
The wideman has been restricted to 122 minutes from seven matches this season and his club are now trying to get rid of him in January.
