Hugo Bueno has shown glimpses of his talent during his time at Wolves so far.
Even though he wasn’t quite a regular, the left-back showed his strengths and perhaps did enough to warrant a stay at the club.
Despite that, the Spaniard was loaned out to Feyenoord in the summer and the Wolves youth graduate is impressing in the Netherlands.
Yesterday, the left-back started against Utrecht and grabbed an assist. It was his third assist of the campaign and there is now a rising amount of praise for the 22-year-old.
Former Feyenoord player Theo Lucius spoke to De Telegraaf about the Spaniard and shared some admiration for Bueno.
He said, as relayed by SoccerNews.nl: “Bueno has become important at Feyenoord in a short time and he is one of those guys in the back who remains very calm, both defensively and in build-up, against any opponent or any pressure.”
While Lucius hailed Bueno’s ability on the ball, pundit Mario Been spoke to ESPN in the Netherlands about the full-back too.
He also praised the Wolves loanee’s natural ability on the ball which shone through for his assist at the weekend.
He said, as relayed by SoccerNews.nl: “With him, almost everything is conscious. That boy can play football so well, he has good feet.”
It is clear that the player’s stock is rising and that comes as good news for Wolves, as Feyenoord do not have the option to buy the player permanently.
