There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Fenerbahce are showing interest in Everton forward Beto ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Portugal international only joined the Toffees last summer from Udinese but found goals hard to come by in his debut season in England.
According to Sabah, the Everton player is a target for Fenerbahce as they look to strengthen their squad this summer. Since the arrival of Jose Mourinho as their new manager the Super Lig side have been linked with a number of players from England, with Beto being the latest.
It’s claimed talks have already been initiated to sign Beto and that Mourinho is keen to get the Everton man. The Istanbul club have reportedly been interested in the 26-year-old for the past two seasons.
However, it’s unlikely Everton would want to cut their losses with Beto as it’s very doubtful Fenerbahce would offer anywhere near what the Premier League side paid Udinese last year.
Beto made 37 appearances for Everton last season, scoring 5 goals. He’s contracted to the club until June 2027.
