Swansea City are set to complete a deal for Sporting Club de Bastia winger Florian Bianchini at some point today.

That’s according to L’Equipe, who say Swansea have reached an agreement with the French side for the 23-year-old.

The newspaper explains that while a transfer fee has not been disclosed by ‘internal sources’ at this point, all indications are that the Corsican club will receive a ‘financial windfall’.

Bianchini is expected to arrive in Swansea in the coming hours to undergo a medical and sign his contract with the Welsh club.

It will the first time he has played abroad during his career after spells with Amiens, Avranches and Châteauroux.

He will be the fifth arrival for Swansea this summer after the signings of Gonçalo Franco, Ji-sung Eom, Zan Vipotnik and Lawrence Vigouroux.

The Swans have been careful with their money so far, with €3.5m brought in from sales and €3.2m spent, indicating the deal for Bianchini is unlikely to be an expensive one for the Championship side.

Those details are likely to come out at some point soon, with the focus now on a medical at some point today.
