A few days ago, we covered a Paris-Normandie interview with Lys Mousset where the Frenchman expressed a certain unrest at being in the stands more often than not at the Vitality Stadium.
The 20-year-old made it clear that he might have to look elsewhere to get game time for the second half of the season, and admitted a move back to France could be a possibility, although a return to his former club Le Havre was off the cards.
France Bleu’s Bertrand Queneutte, the radio station’s Le Havre journalist, took a look at what the future could hold for Lys Mousset, and revealed a bit of information.
He stated the player would be ready to leave on loan, something Mousset himself made clear, but that Bob Bradley had already made an enquiry regarding the player’s availability, despite the Swansea manager denying contacting Bournemouth about Mousset back in October.
Queneutte also said Bradley, who took over at the Liberty Stadium following Francesco Guidolin’s dismissal, could face some competition from a handful of unnamed Ligue 1 clubs, who are said to have started sniffing around.
The Swansea manager is very fond of the Bournemouth striker, having managed him at Le Havre last season, and knows exactly how to get him to score, with the youngster striking 14 times in 28 appearances last season in Ligue 2, of which only 16 were starts.
Of course, this could easily be a case of 2 + 2= 5, with Bradley’s appreciation of the player well known, and the Swansea link being automatically thrown in there due to the history between the two.
We’ll have to wait and see if this develops into anything worthwhile.
