Llorente went to Juventus on a free transfer, which has left a legacy of a very high salary and Sevilla have decided they’d like to be without it. The claims said that Swansea City were yet to agree terms with Sevilla, but given the will for the player to go, that wasn’t thought to be a huge issue.
Sevilla sporting director Monchi on Thursday said a deal is very close, quoted by Estadio Deportivo: “We are making great strides with an English club to reach an agreement, I hope in the coming days to close the deal.”
Either a new club has come in at the last minute, or Monchi thinks Swansea is in England.
