Torino’s Davide Zappacosta has been linked with a move away from the Serie A club, with Sunderland reportedly interested in signing him.
The Italian defender signed for Torino last summer to replace outgoing Matteo Darmian, but it now appears he could be heading to England as well.
Earlier, Italian website Gazzamercato reported Sunderland are exploring the possibility of signing the 24-year-old.
According to an exclusive from another Italian website Tutto Mercato Web, Sunderland are ready to spend €10m on Zappacosta, and it’s claimed that Torino are considering it.
It has been reported Zappacosta doesn’t feature in Sinisa Mihajlovic’s plans for the season, and the Serie A club are ready to offload him.
Zappacosta managed just over 1300 minutes of football in all competitions last season, and has another three years left on his contract.
