Anderlecht star Stefano Okaka is facing an uncertain future at the Belgian club after the arrival of Lukasz Teodorczyk.
According to HLN Sport in Belgium, Sunderland are interested in signing the Italian striker.
HLN Sport say Okaka could fit well at Sunderland, as he’s big and strong, and the Premier League side are considering submitting an offer quickly.
It is reported a Chinese club submitted an offer of around €15m for Okaka, but Sunderland are reluctant to match that. The Chinese window is currently shut, so it may not matter what was offered previously.
Sunderland are willing to bid around €5m-€6m for Okaka, but Anderlecht want at least €10m which could be ‘way too much’ for the Premier League side.
Apparently, Sunderland are also interested in signing Senegalese defender Kara Mbodj from Anderlecht, but HLN Sport just mentioned it briefly.
